Meet Dr. Don Nguyen

Dr. Don Nguyen is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist originally from Edmond, Oklahoma. A valedictorian at Edmond Santa Fe High School, he completed both his undergraduate and medical education at the University of Oklahoma. His ophthalmology training includes a residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, followed by a fellowship in glaucoma at the prestigious Byers Eye Institute at Stanford, where he learned from renowned experts Dr. Kuldev Singh and Dr. Robert Chang.

With extensive training, Dr. Nguyen is equipped to manage all forms of glaucoma through medication, laser therapy, and surgical options. He also finds fulfillment in performing cataract surgery to restore vision for his patients.

He values building personal connections with his patients and customizes each treatment plan according to their unique needs and conditions.

Outside of work, Dr. Nguyen enjoys family time, exploring new dining experiences, and cheering for the Thunder and the Sooners.

"Dr. Nguyen is the only one I trust! - I have been so blessed to have Dr. Nguyen as my doctor for a few years now. I came to him with glaucoma in both eyes. I also had a cataract in my right eye that had developed very quickly a couple of years ago. He explained my options and I had surgery on my right eye. He got rid of my cataract and the glaucoma in my right eye. (There is a medical name of the surgery but I don’t have that handy) He is the ONLY one I would trust to do that. The pressure on my left eye is also doing great now due to his treatment. Another thing I absolutely love is on each visit he shows me his computer screen and the comparisons of my eye nerves, peripheral vision, etc. from my the last visits.
