Meet Dr. Larry Henry
Dr. Larry Henry serves as the clinical director for BVA Advanced Eye Care. He earned his doctor of optometry degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and completed his residency in ocular disease at the Vision Education Foundation in Oklahoma City.
In 1998, Dr. Henry was recognized as the Young Optometrist of the Year by the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians (OAOP), and in 2005, he was honored as a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Optometry in 2011, reflecting his commitment to excellence in vision care.
As a leader in his field, Dr. Henry founded the Ocular Disease/Refractive and Ocular Surgery Fellowship in partnership with Northeastern State University College of Optometry and BVA, furthering education and specialized training in Oklahoma City. He also plays a key role on the medical advisory committee for Medicare in Oklahoma, helping shape the future of vision care in the state.
Beyond his clinical practice and teaching efforts, Dr. Henry dedicates a significant amount of time to providing eye care services to underserved communities across Oklahoma. He remains an active member of both the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association, continuously contributing to the advancement of optometry.
